Orthoptic care

Helping children and adults achieve clear, comfortable vision

How we assess vision

It is about more than simply seeing clearly.

We assess how the eyes work together and how the brain processes visual information, so that vision feels clearer, more comfortable and less demanding.

Orthoptics addresses difficulties that often become apparent only during reading, concentration or at school, including squint, amblyopia, double vision and eye strain.

Why not wait

A child may not be able to say that they see differently.

If vision is tiring, a child often assumes it is normal. An examination can show whether fatigue, inattention or reading difficulties may be related to visual strain.
