Vision training for adults

Vision training is designed mainly for adult patients. Its aim is to improve visual performance and reduce symptoms linked to binocular vision and eye movement disorders.

Vision examination of an adult patient in the clinic

It can help with manifest or latent squint (heterophoria), problems with eye coordination and certain visual symptoms following injury.

Each programme is tailored individually to improve eye coordination and the way visual information is processed.

What the training targets Key areas of vision training
Oculomotor control — accuracy and smoothness of eye movements.
Vergence — the ability of the eyes to converge and diverge correctly when viewing different distances.
Accommodation — focusing on near and distant objects.
Each vision training programme combines exercises from several areas, with the specific plan designed by an optometrist according to individual assessment and the client’s needs.
Individual approach Which difficulties can training help with?

Decompensated heterophoria

In therapy focused on decompensated heterophoria, attention is directed mainly to strengthening fusional reserves, practising vergence and improving oculomotor abilities.

Visual comfort in everyday life

Regular training can improve comfort during reading, computer work and concentration, while reducing symptoms such as eye strain, headaches and blurred vision.
